Write for us
Lively Kitchen Stories welcomes pitches that help general readers understand cooking choices, kitchen objects, techniques and food customs. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a finished article without prior agreement.
What to pitch
We are interested in focused explainers, fair comparisons, concise histories, myth-checking and occasion-based pieces about home cooking. A good subject has a clear reader question and an answer that remains useful beyond a passing trend. It should fit one of our categories and not depend on professional advice, hazardous work or rules that vary by location.
What makes a strong proposal
Tell us the working title, the central question, the main point readers will take away and why the subject merits its own article. Include a short outline and note any sources or relevant expertise behind factual claims. Be candid about limits, avoid product-led pitches disguised as editorial ideas, and do not claim testing or personal experience that did not happen.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial proposal option. Please send a concise proposal rather than a full draft unless one has been requested. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we may ask for clarification before considering it further.
